We also carry a 4.5 metre RIB with 30 HP engine and 2 x 5 metre aluminium tenders with 40 hp outboards and side door entry for divers.
Each tender has VHF Radio and Automatic Identification System (AIS).
The M.V. Phoenix a well appointed 20 metre, aluminium vessel powered by twin engines to give a very comfortable cruise speed of 10 knots. With the reef so close to Port Douglas you can be fishing or diving within 1 hour of departure so less travelling time and more diving or fishing.
With USL 2A Survey, we have the capability to do extended cruises to the very remote reefs, islands and cays in the Coral Sea.
Our navigation limit is 600 miles and our Marine Park permits cover the entire Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea.
The wheel House
State of the art navigation equipment including computer plotters and fish finders. Communications with the mainland is supported by a vast array of radios and satellite communications.
A satellite phone is available at all times (call charges apply). Urgent information can be passed via our office to the ships Sat com C system at any location in the world. Internet connections can be made when in range.
The main saloon has a large saloon/dining area with television, video and magnificent sound system, has comfortable arm chairs, lounges and dinning table.
Fully air-conditioned accommodation, in spacious cabins with ensuites. From bunks to Grand Master State rooms. The configuration of these cabins can be varied dependant on the passenger numbers.
The fly-bridge is as comfortable as it is spacious, supplying a true view over the worlds most pristine waters.
Meals, Prepare to Indulge!
Adjacent to the saloon is the galley where our on board Chef converts fresh food into scrumptious meals.
A menu of fresh seafood steak and modern cuisine form the basis of our 3 cooked meals per day menu, along with sumptuous snacks and tasting plates throughout the day.
Although we are surveyed for 18 passengers we prefer a little style and comfort for our guests.
Passenger numbers are held to a minimum to ensure no over crowding and a pleasurable experience. We find 2 to 10 passengers delivers a level of opulence and comfort that allows a personal touch form our staff.
